Greetings Signature Members:

This past Monday evening a Signature resident alerted Club management that a cart was driving around and doing donuts on #12 fairway. This occurred after the golf course was hit with more than an inch of rain in a very short period of time. The cart was a dark red EZ-GO with an attached jump seat on the back. If you know who might be the owner of this cart, please contact the Club at your earliest convenience.

Damage to the turf was minimal, but this type of vandalism at your Club is unacceptable. This isn't the first time something like this has happened and unfortunately it likely won't be the last given the proliferation of golf carts in the community. If you own a golf cart we ask that you please share this e-mail with your family as we are certain that this problem is primarily caused by kids (in many cases kids who are not old enough to have a drivers license) who live in the Signature neighborhood.

School will soon be out for the summer and in light of that fact, plus our recent growth in membership, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the Club’s rules regarding access to the golf course. These items are taken directly from the Rules and Regulations of Signature of Solon Country Club.

Repeated violations of these policies by Member families may result in a suspension of Club privileges including access to the golf course and to the pool.

6.13 JOGGING AND WALKING
Jogging and walking is not allowed on Club property with the exception of gaining access to the pathway between Signature I and II.

I really want to stress the importance of this rule as it is in place for the safety of everyone involved at the Club. The no jogging and walking on the cart paths extends to no bike riding, no rollerblading, and no skateboarding. There are golf carts and golf balls flying around the course throughout the day and we do not want to see anyone get hurt.

The exception is the path that connects Capilano Drive in Signature I to Broadstone Drive in Signature II. This path crosses in front of #13 tee and winds back behind #12 green. This path is accessible by all residents to get from Signature I to Signature II. Residents must use sidewalks and surface streets to access these entry points when going to Signature II to use the pool and heading to Signature I to utilize the clubhouse.

9.1 REGISTRATION
All golfers shall register at the Golf Shop and pay all applicable green fees, guest fees and cart fees before beginning play. Members are responsible for the payment of fees incurred on account of their guests.

This is a simple request asking that all Members check in at the Golf Shop prior to going onto the course to begin your round.

9.6 GOLF CART USE
N. Golf carts, both private and club owned are allowed on course for golf only and must be registered in the pro shop prior to entering the course, with the exception of gaining access between Signature I and II.

No golf carts should be on the golf course other than those being used by our Members and Guests during their round of golf. The exception is the previously acknowledged path between Signature I and II. You must be 16 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license in order to drive and operate a golf cart on Club property.

Should you have any questions regarding these aforementioned rules, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. All of us on the Signature management team strive to make your Club a fun and safe place for you and your family to enjoy.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Best wishes,
 Dan DeCrow
